Hospice Care Eligibility
Hospice care can be provided to those who have been diagnosed with a limited life expectancy. Our care is not just for patients with cancer or patients with a terminal illness. Medicare recognizes the need to provide care for those individuals with a general decline in health as they progress in their final journey of life.
Some signs of general decline are:
- Eating less
- Weight loss
- Confusion and forgetfulness
- Increased weakness
- Needs more help with personal care
- Sleeping more
- Less active
Other diseases include Congestive Heart Failure, Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Diabetes, Cancer and Parkinson’s Disease.
